Modbus ZigBee USB Gateway – ZC-GW-USB-EM

The USB ZigBee ZC-GW-USB-EM – Modbus Gateway is part of the range of 4-noks ZigBee devices. The purpose for which it was created is to interface a Personal Computer with the network of 4-noks ZigBee devices through the USB port and a standard protocol widely used such the Modbus/RTU. The employment of the Modbus protocol grants an immediate use of many commercial Scada for PC.

The device is powered directly from the USB port. The gateway, for what concerns the ZigBee network, is one of the available coordinating type devices. This means that it has an active function creating the network and keeping the radio traffic between the ZIgBee network devices. Moreover, it can work as a “father” device for the battery powered sensors of the same range and can memorize the information they asynchronously transmit compared to the ModBus interrogations.

Along with the ZR-BR-485-EM device, this gateway offers a transparent Modbus channel.
